Defined and executed Reddit's multi-year Safety Product Strategy ("Detect, Protect, Correct"), aligning 30+ cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Design, Research, Ops, Legal, and Policy. Built and led the "Safety DERP" execution team across a multi-disciplinary portfolio: Safety Tools, Safety Signals, Consumer & Community Safety, and Insights Data Science.

  • Regulatory compliance: Led end-to-end product roadmap for Digital Services Act (DSA) compliance — delivering user appeals, transparency reporting, and enforcement messaging features ahead of regulatory deadlines
  • AI & automation: Drove the Safety Signals and Safety Actioning charters, integrating AI models (Themis for violent comment detection, NCIM detection, Spamuron) into real-time enforcement pipelines to scale safety decisions and reduce human review load
  • Platform modernization: Spearheaded the Admin Investigations Platform, retiring legacy systems ("Super Admin Mode" & "R2") to centralize workflows, secure user data, and improve admin efficiency
  • Moderator tools: Championed the "Unburdening Mods" initiative — launched the Harassing Comment Filter, Ban Evasion Protection, and Crowd Control to automate routine safety tasks and empower community moderators
  • Trust & safety infrastructure: Oversaw the Safety Signals Platform and Policy Enforcer, enabling standardized tracking of user history, repeat offenders, and automated penalties
  • Data science: Managed the Safety Insights Data Science team, moving into a more GM capacity. Advocated for the creation of Golden Sets for quality measurement, as well as prevalence metrics for abusive content exposure
  • Crisis response: Managed the Crisis Text Line partnership, facilitating thousands of crisis conversations and life-saving de-escalations on the platform
  • People leadership: Oversaw hiring, performance management, and career development across PMs and Data Science leaders, promoting key talent to Staff PM and Manager roles
